About Collar to Harness Safety Strap
These harness safety straps are custom made to order with genuine 3/4" BioThane®. Complete with heavy duty tubular rivets welded D-rings and your choice of hardware, these safety straps are perfect for large medium and small dogs. Our safety straps feature a stylish two-tone design with an integrated D-ring for extra accessories. The harness safety strap attaches to your dog’s collar and leash to add a second point of contact in the event that your dog wriggles out of his or her harness.
Note: When selecting the length of the safety strap it does not take into account the length of the hardware meaning if you select a 7" strap the actual BioThane® portion will be 7" long and the hardware will add roughly 5 more inches to the total length.
BioThane® Material
All of our collars and leashes are made with BioThane® Beta. BioThane® Beta is a very flexible soft material that has the look and feel of leather. It is a good alternative to leather because it is waterproof and easy to clean. This prevents it from carrying a stinky odor. In addition to these beneficial properties, it is very strong. It is made with B10 webbing which means that it has a 1,000lb per inch of width break strength so a 3/4" strap has a 750lb break strength.
Hardware
Our collars and leashes are made with high quality durable Steel hardware. Our Brass and Silver swivel snaps are nickel and brass plated to give them their glossy finish. The Black swivel snaps are powder coated and the Stainless-Steel swivel snaps have no additional finish on them. Our O-rings and D-rings are welded for extra strength and durability. They are also nickel-plated brass-plated and powder coated, respectively, to give their vibrant finish.
Rivets
In order to ensure the strength and longevity of our collars and leashes we employ solid brass and nickel-plated Steel #104 tubular rivets. These rivets are very reliable and are set using a press rather than by hand. To maintain a stylish fit and finish our rivets are installed with a matching cap which gives them a congruent look on both sides.
